IAHF/PVM Golf Outing

Golf OutingJoin us for a fun and exciting round of golf prior to the start of the Purdue Veterinary Medicine Fall Conference! This year's golf outing will be held at the Purdue Kampen Course on Tuesday, September 9th and is coordinated by the Indiana Animal Health Foundation and Purdue Veterinary Medicine. History Taking and Triage for Toxic Exposures

This lecture will give key points to help your clinic staff become excellent history takers when a toxicology case walks in the door or calls on the phone.  Discussion will include the importance of investigative detail gathering that will provide invaluable assistance to the treating veterinarian.  An interactive style lecture, it is geared to be a “brush-up” for seasoned staff, yet thorough enough to introduce newer staff members to this potentially difficult history-taking scenario

Don't miss this new event in the Purdue memorial Union (PMU) Ballrooms that celebrates reunion classes and provides and opportunity to meet up with your classmates.  The Exhibit Hall will be open late during this event and exhibitors will have special prize drawings throughout the night.  The evening is sure to be full of laughs, renewed friendships and memories.  Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.

The Fall Conference schedule includes a block of time for your class to plan your own private reunion beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, following the Awards Celebration.  Commemorating this milestone will bring opportunities for you to catch up with old friends and see how much the College and the Purdue campus have changed, yet stayed the same.  Most of all, planning a class reunion will offer you a chance to share your class pride as you reflect on your individual and collective accomplishments, and the successes that are still to come.  If you would like to help plan a Thursday evening reunion activity for your class, please contact Wendi Ailor, director of alumni relations, at 765-496-6704 or wailor@purdue.edu.   We are happy to help make connections among classmates as you plan your reunion and work with you to create your reunion experience.

The student-run Dog Jog is a 5K & 10K run/walk, sponsored by McAfee Animal Hospital, that attracts faculty, staff, students, alumni and their dogs. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. from Lynn Hall and route through campus on Saturday, September 13, 2014, the conclusion of the Fall Conference week. All proceeds will go to the PetSafe Program, a community service offered by Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine to meet the short-term hou sing needs of pets whose owners are temporarily unable to provide care.
