SVM “In Memoriam” program
Do you wish to honor a person or pet with a gift?

The “In Memoriam” program provides an especially meaningful way of expressing sympathy to someone who has lost a beloved pet, to memorialize your own pet, or to honor a special person. Your gift will be used to help other animals and support the education of future veterinary professionals. You will receive a receipt for your donation.
If your gift is in memory of a pet, the pet owner will receive a personalized card expressing condolences and notifying them of your donation in memory of their pet. We often hear from recipients of these cards expressing how much this has meant to them.
“Thank
you for letting us know that a cash contribution was
made to you by …… in memory of our beloved (dog). We are enclosing a picture of
her so that you can see how special (she) is. She was 16 years old when we said
good-bye to her. But she will forever be in our hearts. We are so pleased to
know that the “In Memoriam” fund helps other pets and also students there at
the university.”
“We
received your card in the mail. I want to tell you how pleased we are that you
let us know about the contribution from …. I sure hope you can help or ease the
suffering of other animals. We loved (our pet) so much. She was like a child to
us and we miss her dearly. Good luck in your work! Thank you so much. You are
truly wonderful.”
Please include information about the name and species of the pet (dog, cat, etc.), and the name and address of the pet owner. If you are making a gift in memory of your own pet, we welcome you to include any information you wish about your pet with your contribution.
Often people choose to honor or memorialize a special person through a donation to our School. When you give a gift in honor or in memory of a person, we will send a letter to the appropriate person notifying them of your donation. Please include contact information for the individual you wish to have notified.
