SVM Boiler Bake-Off

The 10th Annual School of Veterinary Medicine Boiler Bake-Off is slated for Friday, September 24. Winners will be announced in the afternoon at the Fall Auction. The winning entries also will be sold at that time.

Contest Rules:

  1. The SVM Boiler Bake-Off is open to students, faculty, and staff of the School of Veterinary Medicine and their spouses or domestic partners.
  2. All entries must be delivered to LYNN 1191 (the former classroom in the dean's hallway) and registered between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. on the day of the contest.
  3. All entries must be accompanied by a copy of the recipe. Include name, position, and department or class information with the recipe (i.e. Lisa Holeman, Demonstration Assistant, CPB).
  4. Foods which need refrigeration may not be entered (i.e. cheesecakes, custard-type pies, sour cream frostings, etc.). Bake-off items will set out for several hours after judging and cannot be refrigerated.
  5. Preregistration is highly encouraged. An online form is available from this Web site and should be mailed to Donna Fulkerson, MED ED, LYNN. A sign-up form is also available in the weekly newsletter.
  6. Entries must fit into one of five categories: breads, cakes, candy, cookies or pies.
  7. Do not put your name in any visible location on your entry.
  8. Cookie entries must include at least 14 cookies for tasting purposes.
  9. We are unable to guarantee the return of platters, pie pans, etc. Please plan accordingly.
  10. Only Bake-Off volunteers may be in the room during judging. If you would like to volunteer please contact Donna Fulkerson in the Medical Education Office, Room B181.
