LEARNING

The department offers courses in its areas of expertise – veterinary and human anatomy, histology and cell biology, physiology, pharmacology, toxicology, cytometry, and international veterinary medicine – to the D.V.M. and veterinary technology programs, to graduate students within the department and the University community, and to the Indiana University School of Medicine’s Lafayette Center for Medical Education. It is the leader in development of Web-based distance education courses that formed the foundation of the emerging distance veterinary technology program. Several faculty members have chosen education as their area of scholarship. The emphasis is typically on adapting computer technology to enhance learning in courses offered locally and at a distance.
