The department currently has 18 tenure track faculty
members for a total of 14.0 FTE whose duties are directed at BMS
responsibilities. Seven of the faculty members have half-time appointments
in the University (2) or have FTE Commitments to units outside BMS
(5). The department has three Academic/Professional Faculty (A/P)
members who function similarly to tenure track for a total of 2.35
FTE. Counting the tenure track and A/P faculty members, the department
currently has 16.35 FTE available for meeting its Learning, Engagement,
and Discovery functions. It is estimated that current FTE dedicated
to each of these functions is as follows: Learning – 9, Engagement
– 2, Discovery – 5.35.
