WASHINGTON, Dec. 23, 2003Agriculture Secretary Ann M. Veneman today announced
that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has diagnosed a presumptive positive
case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in an adult Holstein cow in the
state of Washington.
