dr hab. inz Kazimierz Wiech, vice dean of Horticultural Faculty, at Agr. Univ. of Krakow, came to Purdue for the second time to develop interactive multimedia programmes and to put his 800 slides on CD-ROMs with the help of Dr. Lee Schweitzer. His work centers around IPM and organic farming. He coordinates IPM and multimedia workshops in Poland. His visit is made possible by a grant from Mellon Foundation, that the School of Agriculture obtained (Dick Gelzleichter and Dave Sammons) to improve extension services in Poland.

dr hab. inz Kazimierz Wiech, while visiting the School of Veterinary Medicine Computer Laboratory last year expressed his interest in working with Dr. Nour and Dr. Roesel to prepare multimedia programs and slide microfiches to help him doing his work. He succeeded in developing, with Dr. Nour, two slide microfiches on benificial insects and main vegatable pests. He also developed an interactive module with Dr. Nour and Dr. Roesel using VAGUS authoring system which Dr. Roesel has developed.
