Eligibility of faculty participation in BSDT graduate program and member selection process

Any faculty within Purdue University who has a biological background and is interested in applying engineering principles to solve a medical related problem is eligible to apply. The BSDT Advisory Committee will formulate the detailed criteria for the selection of BSDT faculty.

The BSDT Advisory Committee will first review the application from a prospective faculty member. The final decision on the induction of new faculty to the BSDT will be made jointly by the Dean of the CVM and Head of the Weldon School of BME.

The BSDT Advisory Committee will conduct an annual review of the performance of BSDT faculty. The membership of those faculty members who remain inactive or unconstructive for more than a year will be terminated.
