Pre and Postdoctoral Researcher
We are currently seeking to fill multiple doctoral and postdoctoral research positions to study the cellular mechanism of neuronal injury in nervous system trauma and diseases as well as the establishment of effective treatments.  Projects will mainly involve in vivo anatomical analysis, including brain and spinal cord tissue sectioning, labeling of neurons and glial cells using immunohistochemistry, and imaging analysis using various modalities of microscopes.  Skills in morphological analysis in experimental animals are critical.  Candidates will join an exciting multidisciplinary research team consisting of basic and clinical medical scientists, as well as biomedical engineers.  There are also opportunities to learn and master a variety of techniques available in this lab including cellular and tissue electrophysiology (patch clamp, intracellular and extracellular recording), various animal models of trauma (spinal cord and head injury) and neurodegenerative diseases (multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s diseases), a range of neuronal behavioral analysis (motor and sensory), tissue culture, and small animal surgeries.  Talented, motivated, and reliable individuals are invited to join the team. Positions open immediately.  Interested candidates should send their resume/CV and the names and contact information of 2-3 references to;
