The contest is now open to new entries and you can all vote! To vote, click on any of the images you like below or on instagram and "like" the image within instagram.

Prizes

1st Place

$15 gift certificate at local dining of choice (that have gift cards) and framed photo of your picture, photo placed on IP Website, Office Walls, and Displays. Video winners will be used in promotional video for Study Abroad.

2nd Place

$5 gift certificate at Starbucks and photo placed on Office Walls. Video winners will be used in promotional video for Study Abroad.

3rd Place

  $5 gift certificate at Moe’s Southwest Grill and photo placed on Office Walls. Video winners will be used in promotional video for Study Abroad.

How to Enter

Upload your photos and videos to Instagram from a public profile and tag @pucvm. Include the following information your post: Name, Location, Category, #pvmip17 #ivsa

How to Win

Your post will be reposted on the @pucvm Instagram page and the posts with the most likes on our page in each category will win. There will be 3 prizes for each category (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).

Photo and Video Upload Rules

Students are allowed to upload one photo/video per category. All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization will be disqualified.

Photo Categories

  1. Landscape: Beautiful Scenery from your study abroad travels.
  2. Human Connection: Connecting with people of different cultures is one of the most important aspects of travel. Show us how you connected and who you connected with.
  3. I Am A Future Vet:  Darting Elephants in the open plains of Kenya? Rehabbing howler monkeys in the jungles of Guatemala? Or maybe learning from our partner vets at a hospital in Brazil? Show us what makes you a future vet in the field!

Video Categories

  1. Why Travel? : There is always a moment or an experience that can recapitulate the importance of international travel. Were you able to capture that moment on camera?
  2. Human Animal Bond: Captured a caring moment between a human and animal? Upload it and let’s take a look!

Eligibility

The PVM International Programs Photo and Video Contest ("Photo Contest") is open only to current students within the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Your instagram profile must be public in order for you to be eligible for this contest.  

Entry Period

The Photo and Video Contest begins on August 28, 2017 and ends on September 29, 2017. Pictures and Video with most "likes" by the deadline will win. 

*Original Files of the photo/video contest winners will be requested upon selection and notification of status.
