2013 Fall Conference Marks Homecoming Milestone
The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s first 50th Class Reunion promises to help ensure a memorable and historic Purdue Veterinary Medicine 2013 Fall Conference for Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians September 10-14. Other special events planned in conjunction with the conference include the Medicine Mixer Reception and Fall Auction on Thursday, September 12, as well as the Awards Celebration on Wednesday, September 11, when the College will present the Distinguished Alumnus Awards to the 2013 recipients, Drs. Craig Wardrip (PU DVM’78) and Michael Andrews (PU DVM ‘83). Additionally, the Indiana Animal Health Foundation will hold its annual Golf Outing Tuesday, September 10; the Dean’s Club Luncheon will be held Thursday, September 11; and the College will be the official sponsor for the Purdue vs. Notre Dame football game Saturday night, September 14. Three hours prior to the 8:00 p.m. kick-off, PVM alumni will be able to gather at a pre-game tailgate at the Rankin Track, just southwest of the stadium.
The fun and excitement of the special events will complement an excellent continuing education program featuring new speakers and workshops. The conference is designed to provide continuing education opportunities for the entire veterinary team. All conference sessions and special events will be held at various Purdue campus locations in West Lafayette, Ind. Explore all the conference has to offer by checking out the Fall Conference web-site, which includes all the information you need and links for the on-line registration site and hotel registration.
While the Fall Conference serves as the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Homecoming Week, Purdue Veterinary Medicine also will host a booth during Purdue University’s Homecoming on Saturday, September 18, as part of the traditional family-friendly celebration that will precede the Purdue vs. Northern Illinois football game.
