Pets for People
Our club is for anyone that wants to volunteer in the community by taking animals on visits to nursing homes and schools. All pets in the program must be certified and we will help you train for the test and pay for your testing and registration. For members without a pet of their own, we can also use certified rescue animals on the visits. In order for your pet to become a Delta Society animal, they should enjoy people and be able to listen to basic training commands. We currently have dogs, cats, and llamas certified for visits. We go on weekly visits to a local daycare for underprivileged 3-5 year olds and make visits to local nursing homes. Members can visit as many or as few times as wish.
