Most classes are designed specifically for veterinary technology students
English 106, Animal Science 102, and an elective from general Purdue courses are required
Students participate in care and treatment of patients in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital through clinic rotations
Clinical experiences involve all common domestic animal species: dog, cat, cattle, horse and laboratory animals
The AS Degree courses are administered and taught within the School of Veterinary Medicine

**SPLIT SUMMER Session 1: first 7.5 weeks. Session 2: second 7.5 weeks. Half the students will be in summer courses while the other half are on required externship. The two groups will reverse for the second session. A six-week externship may be combined with a half-week vacation.
