Welcome to the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine's Veterinary Technology Program Homepages.

Educational Opportunities:

This unique competitive admission program offers an Associate of Science (2 year) degree program and a Bachelor of Science (4 year) degree program.

High School Students:

High School Students are eligible for the 4 year BS degree or the 2 year AS degree. There exists a 3 year AS option that is recommended for most high school students and comprises a first year of general education college courses followed by the AS degree courses.

College Students:

College students are eligible for the BS or AS degree. Those choosing the BS degree may have already completed enough prior college credits to meet the requirements for the 1st year general education courses. See description of the BS curriclum for more details.

Graduate Veterinary Technicians:

Graduates from other AVMA-accredited programs may transfer into the 2 + 2 plan of study to earn a BS Degree in 1-2 years.


Distance Learning Program:

The Associate Technician Program degree can now be completed ONLINE through our Veterinary Technology Distance Learning Program!
