The staff of the AES practice emergency and critical care nursing skills specifically for small animal patients. Hours Monday thru Friday 6pm-8am Saturday & Sunday 24 hours/per day Holidays 24 hours/per day

These tests help the clinicians determine the patient’s needs and allow them to know if more intense therapies should be performed. The Small Animal ICU has recently added a critical care ventilator and advanced monitoring to help patients who are unable to breathe on their own. The ICU employs 12 registered veterinary technicians that care for the hospitalized patients offering individual nursing care and intense monitoring. The technicians administer medications, various therapies and pay special attention to patient comfort.
