Small Animal Community Practice

Our Goals ...

Expose veterinary and veterinary technician students to primary veterinary care as would be seen in general private practice, including the capabilities and limitations of private practice, and in contrast to exposure to secondary care in other small animal rotations.

Serve the residents of Tippecanoe County through preventive medicine, especially well animal care, and primary care for their pets with emphasis on client education, and counseling with the intention of maximizing the human-animal bond.

Allow students to practice skills in preventive medicine, client relations, time management, and primary care for small animal practice.

Expose veterinary and veterinary technician students to non-traditional pet medicine and husbandry including avian, exotic small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
