Purdue Internal Funding:

  • Laboratory and University Core Facility Research Equipment Program - This opportunity, jointly sponsored by the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships and the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Diversity, supports the purchase of capital research equipment in two cost categories. Part I is for research equipment costing up to $100,000 and Part II is for equipment costing from $100,000 to $1,000,000. The goal is to address critical and strategic research equipment needs and thereby enhance the research programs of individual investigators as well as multiple investigators reliant on shared-use equipment. Deadlines: Plans for FY21 TBA
  • Ralph W. and Grace M. Showalter Research Trust - grants support research in the following areas: 1) Environment including air and water pollution, 2) Biochemistry and molecular biology, 3) Disease prevention, diagnosis, progression, treatment and control, 4) New technologies for food production, preservation, distribution and safety and 5) Medical and biophysical instrumentation, including the analysis of large data sets. Eligibility is limited to tenure-track and research faculty on the West Lafayette campus who hold the rank of assistant professor at the time of application. Use of funds is limited to the Purdue University, West Lafayette campus, but collaborators or advisors need not hold a position at Purdue and academic collaborators can be of any rank.
