Veterinary Teaching Hospital

The Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital is comprised of a small animal hospital and a large animal hospital. The small animal hospital has a community (primary care) practice for clients in Tippecanoe county, an emergency practice for 24/7 emergencies, and a referral practice for cases requiring advanced diagnostics or specialized care from our doctors that have advanced training in numerous specialty areas.  The large animal hospital has an ambulatory service for those animals needing care on the farm, an emergency practice for those emergency situations needing hospitalization, and a referral practice for cases requiring advanced diagnostics or specialized care from our doctors that have advanced training in numerous specialty areas.

Dr. Paulo Gomes is a clinical assistant professor of veterinary dermatology in Purdue's College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been at Purdue for two and a half years and is a clinician in both the small and large animal hospitals, teaches veterinary dermatology and contributes with research.
