Anesthesiology
The Anesthesia service offers 24 hour a day support to all patients requiring anesthesia and pain management at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Besides clinical teaching, our boarded anesthesiologists have special interests including veterinary anesthesia and pain management research, equine anesthetic recovery and anesthesia, and pain management with exotic animals.

Behavioral Medicine
The Animal Behavior Clinic is associated with the Center for the Human-Animal Bond. At the Animal Behavior Clinic, we use methods based on scientific principles to efficiently change troublesome animal behaviors. We want to work with you and your pet because changing behaviors saves pets’ lives and enhances the human-animal relationships.

Internal Medicine
The Small Animal Internal Medicine service offers comprehensive diagnostic testing and treatment options for dogs and cats. Our team is comprised of faculty members in medicine (board-certified specialists with many years of clinical experience), residents (graduate veterinarians who are training to become internal medicine specialists), interns (graduate veterinarians in an earlier phase of post-graduate training than residents), fourth-year veterinary students (veterinarians-in-training in their final year of veterinary school), experienced registered veterinary technicians (nurses), and students in our veterinary technology program.
Diagnostic Imaging
The Imaging Department at the Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital strives to be at the forefront of imaging technology. We have 5 faculty radiologists who are board certified Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Radiology and we have five registered veterinary technicians/medical technologists.

Neurology
Our neurology services treats patients with medical illness affecting the brain, spinal cord, and nerves and surgical conditions such as disc herniation, spinal fractures, and brain tumors.
Oncology
The Purdue Oncology service will see dogs and
cats with any cancer. There is a special interest in canine
urinary, bladder cancer, canine bone cancer, and canine prostate cancer.
Ophthalmology
Our services are available to patients referred by veterinarians in private practice. To schedule an appointment for your animal, please call our small animal reception staff at (765) 494-1107 between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Out-patients should expect the visit to take 1.5-3 hours.
