Collect samples in a sealed container. If submitting plasma, ensure it is clear. For serum/plasma samples, avoid contact with rubber test tube stopper as this may artificially increase zinc contamination.
If shipping different sample/tissue types, clearly label each container with owner and animal ID (if applicable) and sample/tissue type. Ship specimens overnight with an ice pack. DO NOT FREEZE. DO NOT SHIP OVER WEEKEND OR HOLIDAY.
