Shaurya Dumka is a graduate student in the Department of Comparative Pathobiology (CPB) at Purdue University. He holds a Master of Technology in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India, and a bachelor's degree in veterinary sciences from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pant Nagar, India. With a strong interdisciplinary foundation in veterinary sciences and biotechnology, Shaurya brings a translational perspective to biomedical research.
Over the course of his academic journey, Shaurya has authored some international high-impact publications and has been recognized with several academic honours, including Best Poster Presentation, Best Oral Presentation, and Best Master's Thesis awards. He was also awarded the prestigious Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Fellowship for academic excellence and research potential.
His research experience spans virology, immunology, and molecular biology, with a particular focus on host-pathogen interactions and vaccine development. At Purdue, Shaurya is eager to further explore the molecular mechanisms of infectious diseases and contribute to innovative solutions in biomedical science.
