Comparative Oncology Trials Consortium (COTC)
The Comparative Oncology Trials Consortium (COTC) is a network of 20 academic veterinary oncology centers, which is organized by the Comparative Oncology Program in the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health. Oncologists in the COTC work together to design and conduct clinical trials in dogs with cancer in order to evaluate new cancer treatments. Understanding the mechanisms by which the new therapies are effective is a crucial component of each study. This is crucial in order to further improve the therapy in future work.
