Holly Englert is the Assistant Director of Advising for the Veterinary Technology program. She earned a B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Toledo and a MA in Education Leadership, Higher Education Administration from Eastern Michigan University. Outside of work, where advising students is her passion, Holly enjoys reading, baking, and spoiling her sassy cat Penny.

Hannah is an Academic Advisor for the Veterinary Technology Distance Learning (VNDL) program. Since the beginning of her undergraduate career in community college, Hannah knew she wanted to help students build confidence, utilize the resources available to them, and accomplish their goals. To prepare her for this work, Hannah earned a B.A. in Anthropology from Beloit College (2020) and a masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Northern Illinois University (2023). During her masters, she advised art students in NIU's School of Art and Design and conducted research about study abroad. To broaden her experiences with students, she moved into her current position in PVM in May 2024 where she advises online vet tech students. She has enjoyed helping students navigate busy schedules, rigorous education, and compounding responsibilities. While advising is a great passion of hers, she also loves to crochet and cross stitch while watching British comedy shows with her family, and exploring new restaurants and recipes. Stephanie is an Academic Advisor for Veterinary Technology Distance Learning students. Stephanie earned her master's degree at the University of Central Arkansas in College Student Personnel Services and Administration and her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Criminal Justice. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and her miniature schnauzer mix, Wrigley (named after Wrigley Field, not Wrigley gum). She is a big Chicago Cubs fan and considers Wrigley the lucky charm to the 2016 World Series Win as they rescued him before the World Series began.

Rachel is an Academic Advisor for the Veterinary Technology Distance Learning (VNDL) program. After spending her freshman year at Purdue University she transferred to Friends University earning a BS in Zoo Science. She earned an AAS in Veterinary Technology from Harrison College and an MS in Higher Education from Capella University. Her passion for animals and Veterinary medicine started as a 10 year 4H member in Monroe County Indiana. She has over 20 years of clinical experience as a veterinary technician and became a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) in 2016. She is passionate about veterinary mentorship and supporting students in achieving their goals. In her time away from work, Rachel enjoys reading, knitting, and nature photography.

Psychologist, Lead Therapist
Dr. Maguire Jackson (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist in the State of Indiana with more than twenty years of clinical experience. She earned her master's and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology from the APA-accredited program at The University of Akron and completed both her APA-accredited internship and psychology residency at Purdue University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Maguire Jackson has provided counseling, education, and clinical training to Purdue students, including previously serving as director of the university's accredited doctoral internship training program at Counseling and Psychological Services. She helps students take purposeful action toward personal and professional goals through a collaborative, compassionate, and intentional approach.
Her work is grounded in strengths-based and trauma-informed principles, honoring diverse identities and life experiences. She integrates cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, and motivational strategies to help students unlock their potential. Her areas of expertise include work-life integration, depression and anxiety, cultural humility, first-generation and non-traditional student concerns, compassion fatigue, grief, substance abuse, clinical training, and holistic health.
Dr. Maguire Jackson is committed to lifelong learning in service of inclusive counseling practices. Outside of work, she recharges by spending time outdoors—especially near water—and enjoying adventures with her family and her dogs. Her office is located in LYNN 1265.

Laurie is an Academic Advisor for the Veterinary Technology Distance Learning (VTDL) program. She earned her AS in Veterinary Technology and BS in Business Management from Purdue. She also earned a MS from IU in Education. She started out working as an RVT in a small animal practice and then as a lab technician for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for a few years. She then taught middle school science for several years before moving into higher education as an advisor in 2023. She greatly enjoys helping students maximize their potential and pursue their dreams and goals. In her free time, Laurie enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, kayaking, and camping. She also loves sports and enjoys watching her kids compete as well as watching and rooting for the Purdue Boilermakers!

As the Schedule Deputy/Accommodations Coordinator for Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, Riley Spry leverages strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to manage complex scheduling and exam accommodation needs. With a background in nonprofit operations and ongoing studies in Business Administration, Riley is adept at problem-solving and ensuring efficient workflows.
