Collection Information

Submit isolates on original plates or transfer to TSA or similar slant.

Shipping Information

If shipping different tissue types, clearly label each container with owner and animal ID (if applicable) and sample/tissue type. Ship specimens overnight with an ice pack. DO NOT SHIP OVER WEEKEND OR HOLIDAY.

Additional Information

Antimicrobial susceptibility testing is not performed on anaerobes. Fastidious organisms may require additional time. We offer systemic and topical antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Please specify if Topical Antimicrobial Susceptibility testing is needed. If antimicrobial susceptibility testing is not requested on the submission form, requests to add susceptibility testing must be received within 5 days of isolate identification.
