Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Through the generosity of Geraldine McCall Kaufman DVM and David Kaufman in honor of Wilfred and Virginia McCall, the ICU has nine floor runs for large dogs. There is a central nurses’ station, a separate feline room, and a barrier room which is used to care for patients with infections that may potentially spread between animals and people. There is also a dog bathing area and direct access to a fenced outdoor area, so intensive care patients do not have to move through the main hospital.
