Animal Welfare

Studies conducted in the PCL have been reviewed and approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) before their start.

The Purdue Animal Care and Use Committee reviews study protocols to ensure ethical use of research animals and compliance with the statues of the Animal Welfare Act and the guidelines of the Public Health Service as issued in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (revised 2011). We provide excellent care for animals and minimize procedures that have potential for discomfort, distress, or pain. For further information please contact IACUC.
