Sterile processing on the second floor is adjacent to the operating rooms and serves the entire hospital complex. Contaminated equipment is transferred for decontamination with separate rooms for sterile processing and sterile supply storage. A “clean elevator” can be accessed directly from sterile processing for transport to the equine hospital, which is two floors below.
