The David and Bonnie Brunner Equine Hospital offers advanced diagnostics and veterinary medical treatment provided by board-certified specialists in such areas as anesthesia, emergency & critical care, internal medicine, surgery, and equine reproductive services (theriogenology).
To capitalize on the significant grade of the site, a stacked design was used resulting in the 73,205 square foot Equine Hospital being situated below the south end of the new Small Animal Hospital. Equine surgery, anesthesia and diagnostic imaging are located adjacent to the Small Animal Hospital to facilitate access for anesthesia and imaging personnel working in both hospitals. Elevators provide access from equine surgery to sterile processing on the second floor, and from equine diagnostic imaging to small animal diagnostic imaging on the first floor. The Equine Hospital has separate medicine and surgery wards, and a separate Intensive Care Unit.
